Fyock Breaks Career Saves Record as Men's Lacrosse Captures Bucks-Mont Hammer
 
DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Timmy Fyock stopped 11 shots over the first three quarters, surpassing the previous career record of 500 held by AJ Beck '18, helping the Arcadia University men's lacrosse team capture the Bucks-Mont Hammer for the third straight year with a 17-5 win over Delaware Valley University on Saturday afternoon.
 
The win moved the Knights to 4-0 in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) and 8-3 overall with their sixth straight win.
 
A seven-goal first quarter propelled Arcadia to the win as Kyle McLaughlin, Wesley Sporer, Sean Connolly, Billy Burton, Justin Chinici, and Brian Albertsen all got into the goal column through the first 15 minutes.
 
Connolly, Albertsen, and McLaughlin put goals on the board helping the Knights lead 10-2 at halftime.
 
A 4-0 third saw goals by Burton, McLaughlin, and two by Chinici pushing Arcadia in front 14-2 heading into the final quarter.
 
Brett Sciascia opened the fourth with his first career goal followed by Andrew Borum and Connolly finishing the scoring.
 
Fyock earned the win playing the first three quarters followed by Cole Dexter stopping four shots during the final quarter.
 
Connolley led the offense with four points on three goals and an assist. McLaughlin and Chinici had three goals each while Brady Manion piled up three assists.
 
The Knights finished 16-for-25 on faceoffs with Sciascia going 11-for-14.
 
Arcadia returns to action on Wednesday when it will host DeSales University for a 7:00 p.m. MAC Freedom contest.
