GLENSIDE – Arcadia University baseball junior Alex Madera and senior Owen Margolis have been named to the PhillySIDA Academic All-Area Baseball Team, as announced by the organization on Thursday morning.

Madera, who was named Second Team All-Region IV by D3baseball.com and the ABCA, MAC Freedom Player of the Year, and First Team All-MAC Freedom, batted .464 with a program-record 83 hits and 38 stolen bases. In 179 at-bats, Madera had nine doubles, four triples, 38 walks, 62 runs scored, and 31 RBI's while notching 100 total bases.
 
Margolis, a consensus All-American, First Team All-Region IV selection by D3baseball.com and the ABCA, and First Team All-MAC Freedom, finished tied for sixth in wins throughout Division III with 10 while tying for 10^th in saves with nine. Margolis was only one of two players in the nation to win 10 or more games without suffering a loss, ending the season with a 10-0 record and nine saves out of the bullpen. In 25 appearances, Margolis had a 2.17 earned run average across 49.2 innings with 40 strikeouts and only 12 walks.
