Baseball's Madera and Margolis Named PhillySIDA Academic All-Area

Owen Margolis have been named to the PhillySIDA Academic All-Area Baseball Team, as announced by the organization on Thursday morning.

Madera, who was named Second Team All-Region IV by D3baseball.com and the ABCA, MAC Freedom Player of the Year, and First Team All-MAC Freedom, batted .464 with a program-record 83 hits and 38 stolen bases. In 179 at-bats, Madera had nine doubles, four triples, 38 walks, 62 runs scored, and 31 RBI's while notching 100 total bases.
Margolis, a consensus All-American, First Team All-Region IV selection by D3baseball.com and the ABCA, and First Team All-MAC Freedom, finished tied for sixth in wins throughout Division III with 10 while tying for 10
th in saves with nine. Margolis was only one of two players in the nation to win 10 or more games without suffering a loss, ending the season with a 10-0 record and nine saves out of the bullpen. In 25 appearances, Margolis had a 2.17 earned run average across 49.2 innings with 40 strikeouts and only 12 walks.
