OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Arcadia University women's volleyball team split its final two matches at the Stevenson Quad Match, falling to Stevenson in the opener, then sweeping Goucher in the finale.
In the first match of the day, the Knights fell to Stevenson, 3-0.
Katie Paoli led the Knights attack with nine kills. Kelsi Warner narrowly missed a double-double with 19 assists and eight digs.
STEVENSON 3, ARCADIA 0
HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1: Stevenson 25, Arcadia 13: The teams were tied at nine through the early parts of the opening set. Stevenson then closed the set on a 16-4 run to take the first set.
Set 2: Stevenson 25, Arcadia 23: Arcadia began the set on a 9-2 run. The Knights extended their lead to 21-14, but Stevenson closed on an 11-2 run to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
Set 3: Stevenson 25, Arcadia 21: The two teams played a back and forth set through the early and middle stages of the frame. The Knights went on a 4-0 run to take a 19-17 lead. Stevenson then closed the set on an 8-2 run to win the match.

In the second match of the day, the Knights bounced back with a 3-0 sweep of Goucher.
Doyle led Arcadia with 10 kills. Warner recorded her second double-double of the weekend with 32 assists and 13 digs.
The Knights improved its record to 7-2 with the win over Goucher.
ARCADIA 3, GOUCHER 0
HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1: Arcadia 25, Goucher 15: The Knights started the match strong, opening up an early 10-4 lead. Arcadia continued to grow its lead, eventually ending the set on a 5-0 run to take an early lead in the match.
Set 2: Arcadia 25, Goucher 17: Goucher took an early 10-8 lead, but Arcadia took the next four points, and never trailed in the set again. The Knights used separate runs of 5-0 and 6-0 on their way to taking a 2-0 lead in the match.
Set 3: Arcadia 25, Goucher 14: Arcadia opened up a commanding 22-8 lead in the final set, and went on to close out the match for its seventh victory of the season.
