GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's volleyball improved to 2-0 in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) as it swept Misericordia in straight sets on Tuesday night inside Alumni Gymnasium.
Nicole Dallara led the Knights attack with eight kills. She also added eight digs, two aces and a block. Michelle Frank led Arcadia in aces with three and added five kills in a balanced attack for the Knights.
The win marks Arcadia's seventh in the last eight matches, and improves its overall record to 8-2, its best record through the first 10 matches since the 2018 season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1: Arcadia 27, Misericordia 25: The Knights jumped out to a 12-5 start in the frame. Misericordia closed its deficit through a 7-3 run that got it within one point, 16-15. The two teams traded runs, leading to a tie at 25-all. Arcadia took the final two points of the set to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
Set 2: Arcadia 25, Misericordia 20: After trailing 3-2 in the early stages of the set, Arcadia went on a 5-1 run to take a 7-4 lead. With the set tied at 10, the Knights took six straight points to take a 16-10 advantage. Misericordia took four straight points to get within three, but Arcadia took back the momentum, closing out the set to take a 2-0 advantage in the match.
Set 3: Arcadia 25, Misericordia 16: The teams traded points in the early stages of the set, leading to a 7-7 tie. The Knights went on a 6-2 run to open up a 12-9 lead. Misericordia would answer, tying up the set at 15, but Arcadia pulled away through a 7-0 run, giving it a 22-15 lead. The Knights then closed the set on a 3-1 run to complete the sweep.
