Women's Volleyball Sweeps Penn State Berks

READING, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's volleyball team swept Penn State Berks on Thursday night in non-conference action.
 
With the win, the Knights have now won four of their last five matches.
 
Danielle Doyle and Alysa Dennison both led the Knights attack with seven kills. Katie Paoli chipped in with six. Estefania Martinez-Sola had a double-double with 16 assists and 18 digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 
Set 1: Arcadia 25, Penn State Berks 18:
With the opening frame tied at 13, the Knights rattled off five consecutive points to take an 18-13 lead. Penn State Berks then cut their deficit to two at 18-16, but Arcadia closed the set on a 7-2 run to win the first frame.
 
Set 2: Arcadia 25, Penn State Berks 20:
The Knights held and early 8-4 lead, but Penn State Berks won six consecutive points, giving it a 10-8 lead. Arcadia did not trail for long as it took a 15-11 lead through a 7-1 run. Penn State Berks cut the Knights lead to two at 20-18, but Arcadia went on to close out the set, taking a 2-0 lead in the match.
 
Set 3: Arcadia 25, Penn State Berks 16:
The Knights got out to a strong start in the third set, taking a 17-7 lead. Penn State Berks would get within five points, but the Knights closed out the set and the match in straight sets.
