GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's volleyball team earned its first Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) win of the season as the Knights swept King's on Wednesday night inside Alumni Gymnasium.
With the win, the Knights improved their record to 1-2 in MAC Freedom play.
Alysa Dennison had a match-high 11 kills in the Knight win.
Danielle Doyle chipped in with eight kills and
Katie Paoli had seven.
ARCADIA 3, KING'S 0
HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1: Arcadia 25, King's 19:
With King's leading 10-8, the Knights rattled off six straight points to take a 14-10 lead. After the Monarchs took the next point, Arcadia then went on another 6-0, building a 20-11 lead. King's fought back to get within five at 24-19, but the Knights won set point to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
Set 2: Arcadia 25, King's 18:
Both teams traded multi-point runs in the opening stages of the set, which led to a 13-13 tie. After King's took a 14-13 lead, Arcadia closed the set on a 12-4 run to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
Set 3: Arcadia 25, King's 10:
King's took the first point of the set, but that was the only lead it would hold in the frame as Arcadia used multiple extended runs to breeze through the final set and win the match.
