DALLAS, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's swim team finished in third place at the Cougar Splash Invitational hosted by Misericordia University with a total of 437.5 points.
The Knights broke two program records in
session 1 and
Julia Stephens moves to 13-0 in individual races on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Julia Stephens earned three individual wins. She earned a personal best time in the 200-yd freestyle by .73(1:57.95). She also touched the wall first in the 100-yd backstroke (59.16) and the 100-yd freestyle (54.01).

Grace Brooks touched the wall first in the 200-yd backstroke with a time of 2:10.78.

Mikayla Scardino finished second behind Stephens in the 100-yd freestyle with a time of 54.20.

Risa Krauss finished third in the 100-yd breaststroke with a season best time of 1:07.72, 2.1 seconds faster than her previous season best.

Ava Despeaux finished fifth in 400-yd individual medley with a season best time by 11.97 seconds (4:54.54).

Juliane Heller recorded two personal best times. She dropped 1.9 seconds for a lifetime best in the 100-yd breaststroke (1:10.67). Heller also dropped 1.71 seconds off of her previous 200-yd breaststroke time for a new best of 2:37.87.

Olivia Hyde finished fifth in the 200-yd butterfly with a time of 2:25.34.
- Since returning from a knee injury,
Ashlyn Swaim went her best in over a year in the 200-yd backstroke with a time of 2:16.36.

Hannah Daniels, Brooks, Stephens and Scardino won the 400-yd freestyle relay with a time of 3:40.01.
