KISSIMMEE, Fl. - The Arcadia University softball team swept the final day of its spring break trip to Florida, defeating Washington College 4-3 in nine innings before taking down Farmingdale State College by a 5-2 final in six innings.
Juliana Presto earned the win in game one while
Paige Nolan took the victory in game two.
HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE: ARCADIA 4, WASHINGTON COLLEGE 3 (NINE INNINGS)

Megan Klose opened the scoring in game one with a two run homer in the top of the second scoring
Angel Schaefer, who pinch-ran for
Taylor Sommer after she led off with a walk.
-The Knights held their 2-0 lead until the bottom of the seventh, when Washington pushed across two unearned runs with two outs to knot the score.
-In the ninth,
Aleigha Parnell doubled home
Zoey Ritter to give Arcadia the lead with
Madi Costigan bringing Parnell in with a single to left.
-The Shorewomen pushed a run across in the bottom of the frame but Presto slammed the door shut.
-Presto allowed three unearned runs on nine hits with two walks and 10 strikeouts.

-Klose got Arcadia on the board in the bottom of the first with a single scoring Costigan.
-Klose came around to score on an error giving the Knights a 2-0 lead after one.
-Klose continued her mashing during the Florida trip with a three-run home run in the fourth scoring LaRochelle and
Megan Sooy.
-The Rams scored two runs in the top of the sixth to finish the scoring.
-Nolan pitched all six innings, allowing two runs on two hits with four walks and a career-high 11 strikeouts.
