GLENSIDE - The Arcadia University softball team swept its non-conference doubleheader with Haverford College on Tuesday in two completely different ways, winning game one 2-1 before taking game two 16-4 in five innings.
HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE: ARCADIA 2, HAVERFORD 1
-Haverford opened the scoring in the top of the fifth on a sacrifice fly.
-Arcadia tied the score in the top of the sixth when
Allison LaRochelle reached on a fielder's choice to the shortstop, who elected to try to putout
Angel Schaefer going to third, but the throw went awry allowing Schaefer to score.
-After the Knights loaded the bases,
Aleigha Parnell walked to score
Megan Klose with the eventual winning run.

Juliana Presto earned her seventh win, allowing one run on six hits with four walks and four strikeouts.

GAME TWO: ARCADIA 16, HAVERFORD 4 (FIVE INNINGS)
-The Fords scored two runs in the top of the first.
-Arcadia sent 13 batters to the plate in a 10-run first, the big hit a two-out grand slam by Sooy.
-The Knights added six runs in the third with RBI hits from Costigan, LaRochelle, Sooy, and
Haley Buckley.
-Haverford added runs in the fourth and fifth to finish the scoring.

Paige Nolan earned the win, allowing two runs on four hits with two strikeouts.
