GLENSIDE - The Arcadia University men's volleyball team defeated Drew University by a 3-0 final on Wednesday evening in non-conference action inside Alumni Gymnasium.
The Knights were led by
Owen Heft's 14 kills, while
Riley Kodidek racked up 36 assists and
Cameron Birch tallied nine digs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
SET 1: ARCADIA 25, DREW 22
-Drew scored four straight points to turn a 14-12 Knights advantage into a 16-14 deficit.
-Trailing 17-15, Arcadia used a 7-1 run to take a 22-18 lead.
-The Rangers battled back to cut the lead to 23-22. but the Knights secured the last two points on a Drew service error and an
Andrew Ahn kill.
SET TWO: ARCADIA 25, DREW 19
-Arcadia raced out to a 5-1 lead before the Rangers knotted the count at seven.
-The rallied off nine straight points to grad a 16-7 lead.
-Drew got as close at 22-18 but the Knights secured the set victory and a commanding 2-0 lead.
SET THREE: ARCADIA 25, DREW 19
-Arcadia scored the first seven points before the Rangers stormed back to tie the count at 11.
-The Knights scored four straight to retake the lead at 15-11.
-Drew trimmed the advantage to 21-19 before four consecutive points gave Arcadia the match sweep.
