Dee's Six Goals Pushes Women's Lacrosse Past Gwynedd Mercy

GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's lacrosse team defeated Gwynedd Mercy, 12-7, on the road on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Knights have now won three of their last four games and improved their record to 3-6 on the year.
 
Morganne Dee led the Knights offensively with six goals. She also had 12 shots on goal in the game. Campbell Torrey chipped in with a career-high three goals and an assist for four points, which is also a new career high.
 
Emily Griffith made seven saves in cage for the Knights.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Griffins scored the first goal of the game just over 30 seconds into the contest, but Arcadia scored the next three goals, courtesy of Torrey, Jordyn Chan and Dee. Gwynedd Mercy scored the last two goals of the quarter to tie the game at three.
  • The Knights had all four scores in the second quarter. Dee (2), Olivia Poley and Torrey extended Arcadia's lead to 7-3 after 30 minutes of play.
  • Poley scored her second goal of the game to open the scoring in the second half. Dee scored three goals in the third quarter as the Knights led 11-5 going into the final frame.
  • Gwynedd Mercy opened the fourth quarter on a 2-0 run, but Torrey closed out the game's scoring with her third goal of the day to close out the Knights' 12-7 win.
