GLENSIDE - The Arcadia University men's volleyball team clinched a spot in the 2023 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships with a 3-0 (25-11, 25-10, 25-15) conference win over Hood College inside Alumni Gymnasium on Thursday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED
SET ONE: ARCADIA 25, HOOD 11
-The Knights jumped out to a 4-1 lead after conceding the first point of the match.
-After Hood cut the score to 6-4, Arcadia scored the next seven points, taking a 13-4 advantage.
-Ahead 16-10, the Knights won nine of the next 10 rallies to secure the first set.
SET TWO: ARCADIA 25, HOOD 10
-Arcadia held a 9-3 lead early.
-The Knights never allowed more than two consecutive points securing the set two win and a commanding 2-0 lead.
SET THREE: ARCADIA 25, HOOD 15
-Arcadia grabbed a 9-3 lead again before the Blazers rallied to cut the score to 10-8.
-Holding a 12-10 lead, the Knights finished the match on a 13-5 run to secure the victory.
