CARY, N.C. - Megan Sooy collected the 100th hit of her career as the Arcadia University softball team defeated Susquehanna University 7-4 before falling to Case Western Reserve University 14-1 in five innings to complete its season-opening trip to North Carolina on Sunday.
Madi Costigan had four hits in game one while Sooy followed with three.
HOW IT HAPPENED
ARCADIA 7, SUSQUEHANNA 4
-Susquehanna began the scoring with a run in the first.
-Costigan tied the score in the third with a triple scoring
Morgan Tripodi.

Summer Centeno continued her hot play to begin the season when she gave the Knights the lead with a single that scored Costigan in the fifth.
-After the River Hawks tied the score in the bottom of the fifth, Costigan singled in the sixth to bring home
Zoey Ritter followed by a Nathlalia DiIanni RBI single scoring
Megan Klose.
-Sooy hit a solo homer in the seventh before Costigan hit a two-run single scoring Klose and
Taylor Sommer to finish the scoring.

Juliana Presto improved to 2-0, going the distance allowing four runs (one earned) on three hits, striking out nine and walking two.
