AMBLER, Pa. - The No. 11/16 Arcadia University baseball team split the final two games of its series with Penn State Harrisburg, falling 14-7 in the completion of a game from Sunday, while winning the final game 9-4.
Justin Massielo and
Anthony Bruno had three hits in the win while
Alex Madera tallied three knocks in the loss.
HOW IT HAPPENED
ARCADIA 9, PSU HARRISBURG 4
-PSU opened the scoring with a run in the top of the second.
-
Ryan Smolen tied the score in the bottom of the frame with a sacrifice fly scoring
Trey Obarowski, followed by a Madera single bringing in Bruno to give Arcadia the lead.
-The Nittany Lions took a 4-2 lead with a run in the fourth and two in the fifth.
-Bruno gave the Knights the lead back in the bottom of the fifth with a bases-clearing double scoring Massielo,
Michael Bukowski, and Obarowski.
-Madera and Massielo increased the advantage in the sixth with RBI singles.

Hunter Curley finished the scoring with a two-run double in the seventh.

Nadell Booker earned the win, allowing one hit in 1.2 innings of scoreless relief.

-Madera led off the game with a solo home run.
-Harrisburg took the lead with a three-run double in the second.
-Arcadia tied the score in the fourth with RBI hits from Obarowski and
Joseph Kumar.
-Penn State regained the advantage with three runs in the fifth.
-Obarowski brought home the fourth run when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the seventh.
-The Nittany Lions brought home seven runs in the seventh to take a 13-4 lead.
-The Knights finished the scoring with two runs in the eighth and one in the ninth.
