Men's Lacrosse Powers Past FDU-Florham on Senior Day

GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's lacrosse team used eight unanswered first half goals to push it past FDU-Florham, 23-7, on Saturday afternoon at Jean Lenox West Field.
 
The Knights improved to 2-0 in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) play with the victory.
 
Prior to the start of the game, Arcadia Athletics honored the 10 members of the men's lacrosse senior class.
 
13 different Knights found the back of the net in the victory, led by Kyle McLaughlin who netted five goals. Brian Albertsen scored three goals and added three assists for a game-high six points.
 
A.J. Dominguez was dominant in the faceoff circle for the Knights as he won 22-of-30 draws that he took. He picked up 11 ground balls and had two points on a goal and an assist.
 
Nathaniel Hudgins got the win in goal for Arcadia as he made eight saves and picked up seven ground balls. Michael DiRienzo also saw action in goal on senior day and made four saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • FDU-Florham scored the first goal of the game, but Albertsen knotted the game at one just over one minute later. After the Devils took a 2-1 lead, the Knights scored eight consecutive goals, a run that lasted over 19 minutes of game time. McLaughlin scored three of his six goals in the run.
  • The Devils scored twice after stopping Arcadia's run to cut their deficit to 9-4 going into halftime.
  • Arcadia scored the first five goals of the second half, including two from Alex Adamczyk.
  • The Knights scored nine times in the fourth quarter to seal its convincing win over FDU-Florham.
