Men's Lacrosse Uses 18-1 Run to Down Lycoming

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's lacrosse team used an 18-1 run to down Lycoming, 19-7, on Saturday afternoon in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) play.
 
With the win, the Knights improved to 4-1 in MAC Freedom play and 5-7 overall.
 
Justin Chinici tied a season-high in goals with six in the victory. It is the third time that he has scored six goals in a game this season. Billy Burton found the back of the net three times and Brian Albertsen chipped in with three goals for the Knights.
 
Brett Sciascia won 12 of his 14 faceoff attempts in the Arcadia win.
 
Nathaniel Hudgins made 13 saves as he picked up his fifth win between the pipes this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Lycoming started the game on a 3-0 run to take an early lead, but the Knights closed the quarter on a 3-0 run to tie the game at the end of the opening frame.
  • Arcadia continued its run, scoring the only three goals in the second quarter, giving it a 6-3 lead at the end of 30 minutes of play.
  • Following a lightning delay, the Knights extended their run to 11-0, growing their lead to 11-3. Lycoming scored to end the run, but Arcadia began another, with one final goal before the third quarter buzzer.
  • The Knights grew their lead to 18-4 and closed out the rest of the final quarter of play to seal their win.
