Softball Earns Big Sweep at Delaware Valley

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - The Arcadia University softball shutout its Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) doubleheader at Delaware Valley University on Thursday, taking game one 4-0 before securing game two 2-0. With the wins, the Knights sit in position for the final spot in the upcoming conference tournament, awaiting remaining conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE: ARCADIA 4, DELAWARE VALLEY 0

-Megan Sooy opened the scoring with a solo home run in the top of the first.

-Megan Klose increased the advantage to 3-0 with a two-run homer in the third scoring Sooy.

-Juliana Presto finished the scoring with a single to center in the fifth bringing home Sooy.

-Presto was dominant in the circle, allowing just a single hit with one walk and 13 strikeouts in her complete game.

-Nathalia DiIanni scored on an error in the top of the first giving the Knights a 1-0 lead.

-Haley Buckley gave Arcadia a cushion with her RBI single to right in the fourth bringing in Taylor Sommer.

-Paige Nolan matched her career high with 11 strikeouts across seven innings, allowing three hits with one walk.
