HOBOKEN, N.J. – In its regular season finale, the Arcadia University men's volleyball team fell to top-ranked Stevens, 3-1, on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Knights finish the regular season slate with a 17-9 record overall, and a 7-2 record in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) play. Arcadia will be the No. 3 seed in the upcoming MAC Tournament, and will take on second-ranked, Messiah.
 
Danny Gonzalez recorded a match-high 18 kills in the Arcadia defeat. Owen Heft chipped in with 10 kills.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 
Set 1: Stevens 25, Arcadia 22:
Stevens used a 3-0 run to extend its lead to 13-9, but the Knights answered with a 4-0 run to tie the frame. The Ducks then went on a 4-0 run of their own to take a 17-13 advantage. Arcadia got within two points on multiple occasions, but that was as close as it got as Stevens took a 1-0 lead in the match.
 
Set 2: Stevens 25, Arcadia 17:
The Ducks used an early 6-1 run to take a 10-6 lead. The teams went on to trade the next couple points, but Stevens closed the set on a 7-2 run to take a 2-1 lead in the match.
 
Set 3: Arcadia 25, Stevens 19:
Trailing by two, The Knights went on a 6-0 run, giving them an 11-7 lead. Stevens cut into the Arcadia lead with a 5-0 run, which got them within a point. The Knights closed out the set on a 10-5 run to extend the match to the fourth set.
 
Set 4: Stevens 25, Arcadia 18:
The Knights led in the frame until the Ducks went on a 10-1 run, giving them a 20-13 lead. Stevens closed out the set to win the match.
