MADISON, N.J. - Hunter Curley,
Zach Steiger, and
Koby Staivecki combined for 14 shutout innings, allowing only four hits on the afternoon as the Arcadia University baseball team swept its Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) doubleheader at FDU-Florham on Saturday, taking game one 3-0 before winning game two 7-0.

Anthony Bruno got the scoring started for the Knights in the top of the first with a single down the right field line scoring
Alex Madera.
-Arcadia added two runs in the fifth on another Bruno single scoring Madera and a sacrifice fly from
Justin Massielo bringing home
Matt Donchez.
-Curley was fantastic, tossing seven scoreless innings with three walks and six strikeouts while allowing three hits. Only three Devils advanced to scoring position the entire game.

-Bruno drove in two runs in the top of the first with a single to left bringing home Madera and
Emilio Pallante.
-Donchez drove home Pallante in the fith with a single before coming in to score on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Bruno.
-Smolen increased the lead to 5-0 with a single to left that scored
Matthew Sot in the sixth.
-Bruno and Massielo finished the scoring with a double scoring Madera and a run-scoring groundout bringing in Donchez, respectively.
-Steiger tossed four hitless innings allowing four walks while striking out eight, matching his career-high.
-Staivecki earned his first career save, allowing one hit over three innings with one strikeout.
