CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's volleyball team fought back from a 2-0 deficit to force a fifth set, but its comeback came up just short against Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) foe, DeSales on Tuesday night.
The Knights fell to 0-2 in conference play with the loss.
First-year Alyssa Dennison led the Knights attack with 13 kills. Estefania Martinez-Sola recorded a triple-double for the second consecutive match as she had 11 kills, 24 assists and 18 digs.
Kelsi Warner had a double-double with 19 assists and 11 digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1: DeSales 25, Arcadia 18:
After losing the opening point of the match, DeSales took the next four points and never trailed again in the set as the Bulldogs took the opening frame of the match.
Set 2: DeSales 25, Arcadia 21:
With the set tied at eight, the Knights took the next five points to take a 13-8 lead. The Bulldogs came back to tie the set at 15, but Arcadia retook the lead by winning the next two points. DeSales closed the frame on a 10-4 run to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
Set 3: Arcadia 25, DeSales 16:
Arcadia got out to an early 9-2 lead in the set. The Knights never trailed in the frame as the closest DeSales got was three points in the middle stages of the set. Arcadia closed on a 5-0 run to force a fourth set.
Set 4: Arcadia 25, DeSales 16:
The Knights used a 6-0 run and a 5-0 run to open an 18-8 lead. With Arcadia leading 22-9, the Bulldogs took six straight points, but the Knights closed the set on a 3-1 run to push the match to a fifth set.
Set 5: DeSales 15, Arcadia 13:
The Bulldogs jumped out to an 8-4 lead, but Arcadia fought back to tie the set at eight with a 4-0 run. The Knights continued its momentum, taking a 13-12 lead, but DeSales won the final three points of the set to win the match.
