GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's volleyball team fell in three sets to non-conference foe, William Paterson on Friday night inside Alumni Gymnasium.
 
First-year Alysa Dennison led the Knights with eight kills. Estefania Martinez-Sola recorded a double-double with 10 assists and 10 digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 
Set 1: William Paterson 26, Arcadia 24:
With the opening set tied at 10, the Pioneers went on a 5-0 run to take a 15-10 lead. The Knights then answered with a 6-0 run to take the lead at 16-15. The teams then traded several multi-point runs, which led to an Arcadia 24-21 lead. William Paterson closed the frame on a 5-0 run to give them the opening set win.
 
Set 2: William Paterson 25, Arcadia 13:
William Paterson got out to a 16-7 lead and never wavered as it took a 2-0 lead in the match.
 
Set 3: William Paterson 25, Arcadia 23:
The Pioneers once again started strong, getting out to an early 14-9 lead. They extended that lead to 19-12, but the Knights came storming back, getting within a point at 22-21. However, the Pioneers took three of the final five points of the set to take the frame and the match.
