MADISON, N.J. - The Arcadia University's women's volleyball team went 2-0 this weekend as they faced Wilkes University and Drew University in a tri-match.

The Knights are now 14-12 on the season.

ARCADIA 3, WILKES 1

HOW IT HAPPENED

Set 1: ARCADIA 25, WILKES 14

The first set started off as a back and forth contest. The Knights broke through and went on a 6-1 run pulling the lead to 11-6. Arcadia maintained the lead for the rest of the set. 

Set 2: ARCADIA 25, WILKES 22

The second set was a highly contested set throughout. This beginning of this set was a consistent back and forth between both teams. The Knights were able to go on a run in the middle of the set, pulling away by three. Wilkes battled back and then took the lead. Arcadia was able to put up a strong front and secure the second set. 

Set 3: ARCADIA 15, WILKES 25

The Knights fell behind early in the third set. They went on a run in the middle of the frame gaining on Wilkes' score. Wilkes took the third set. 

Set 4: ARCADIA 25, WILKES 19

Arcadia took an early lead at 6-3 in the beginning of this set. Wilkes was able to battle back and tie it. The Knights went on a 7-2 run to start to pull away. They kept the lead for the remainder of the set and took the 3-1 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Set 1: ARCADIA 25, DREW 9

The Knights went on a 10-0 run to start the first set. Arcadia was able to go on continuous runs holding Drew to only nine points in the first set. 

Set 2: ARCADIA 25, DREW 23

The second set was a highly contested set. Both teams went on continuous runs of tying and taking the lead. The Knights were able to go on a 8-0 run in the middle of the frame to take the lead. Arcadia was able to close out the set by going on a 4-1 run. 

Set 3: ARCADIA 25, DREW 17

The Knights fell behind to start the third set. They were able to respond very quickly. Arcadia was able to go on a 5-1 run to secure the lead. The Knights then went on to a 6-1 run to take a commanding lead and led them to sweeping Drew University.
