GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's volleyball team fell in five sets to SUNY New Paltz on Thursday night inside Alumni Gymnasium.
The Knights are now 7-4 on the year after the loss.
Arcadia had three players in double-digits in kills.
Andrew Ahn led the way with 17,
Josh Clendening tallied 13 and
Danny Gonzalez chipped in with 13. Gonzalez added 10 digs for a double-double.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1: Arcadia 25, SUNY New Paltz 19:
After the Hawks went on a 4-0 run, giving them a 12-9 lead, they built their lead to 15-11. Arcadia then went on a 7-2 run to take an 18-17 lead. SUNY New Paltz then tied the set at 18, but Arcadia closed the frame with a 7-1 run to take the opening set.
Set 2: Arcadia 25, SUNY New Paltz 15:
The Knights started the set on a 5-0 run and continued to build its lead through the set. Arcadia never trailed in the frame and closed on a 5-1 run, taking a 2-0 lead in the match.
Set 3: SUNY New Paltz 28, Arcadia 26:
The Knights held an early 8-4 lead, but SUNY New Paltz took the next five points, taking the lead at 9-8. The Knights then held a one-point lead on multiple occasions, but the Hawks went on a 4-0 run, giving them a 14-11 advantage. The Knights fought back, eventually taking the lead at 21-20. They then had set point at 26-25, but the Hawks took the final three points of the frame to stay alive in the match.
Set 4: SUNY New Paltz 25, Arcadia 19:
SUNY New Paltz got out to a 13-9 lead and extended it to 19-10 with a 6-1 run. The Knights went on a late 6-2 run to get within five, but the Hawks closed out the frame to force a fifth set.
Set 5: SUNY New Paltz 15, Arcadia 10:
The Hawks held an 8-4 lead, and eventually pushed it to an 11-6 advantage. The Knights then took the next three points, but SUNY New Paltz closed the set on a 4-1 run to win the match.
