Men's Lacrosse Tops Ursinus, 11-10

GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's lacrosse team pulled out a hard-fought, 11-10 win over Ursinus on Wednesday night at Jean Lenox West Field.
 
With the win, the Knights evened their record at 2-2.
 
Tristan Johnson matched his career high, scoring four goals in the Arcadia victory. He now has a team-leading 10 goals on the year. In total, the Knights had six different goal scorers as Billy Burton, Alex Adamczyk, Landan Hajek, Alex Herka and Andrew Borum all found the back of the net as well.
 
Joseph Tesler picked up his second win of the year in goal for Arcadia as he made 10 saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Bears scored the first goal of the game, but Arcadia got the next two as Burton tied the game and Herka gave the Knights a 2-1 lead. The teams would then trade scores to end the quarter as Hajek and Borum scored for Arcadia. The Knights led 4-3 after the opening quarter.
  • Ursinus scored the only two goals of the second quarter as it led 5-4 after 30 minutes of play.
  • The third quarter belonged to the Knights as they outscored Ursinus, 5-3 in the quarter. Johnson (3), Burton and Adamczyk had the Arcadia tallies as it led 9-8 entering the final 15 minutes of play.
  • Johnson capped off his scoring in the game as he opened the fourth quarter with a goal. Ursinus scored the next two to tie the game at 10. Adamczyk then scored halfway through the fourth quarter, which turned into the game winning goal as Arcadia closed out the 11-10 victory.
