GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's lacrosse team used an eight-goal first quarter to pace it to an 18-9 win over Gwynedd Mercy on Saturday afternoon at Jean Lenox West Field.
The Knights have now won back-to-back games, pushing their record to 3-2.
Kyle McLaughlin and
Tristan Johnson each led the Knights offensively with five goals.
Billy Burton had a career-high eight points as he had four goals and four assists. His four assists matched a career high.
Brett Sciascia was dominant in the faceoff circle as he was 18-or-22 on draws. As a team, the Knights were 25-for-31 at the dot.
Joseph Tesler got the win in goal for Arcadia, which is his third of the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Knights scored the game's first six goals as Burton (3), McLaughlin, Johnson and Ryan Gannon found the back of the net in Arcadia's hot start. The Griffins scored to stop the run, but Arcadia added two more goals in the last minute of the frame through Alex Adamczyk and Johnson to lead 8-1 after the opening 15 minutes of play.
- Arcadia added five more goals in the second quarter as Johnson and McLaughlin each had two scores and Adamczyk added another as the Knights led 13-4 heading into halftime.
- McLaughlin (2), Burton, Johnson and Landan Hajek added second half goals as the Knights closed out the final 30 minutes of play to secure the win.
