HAVERFORD, Pa. - A 9-2 game two win helped the Arcadia University softball team earn a split at Haverford College after dropping game one 8-0 in six innings in non-conference play on Thursday afternoon.

-Arcadia stands at 6-10.
-Haverford moved to 6-7.
HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME TWO: ARCADIA 9, HAVERFORD 2
-After Haverford opened the scoring in the bottom of the first,
Megan Klose scored the tying run in the bottom of the frame before a
Madi Costigan knocked a two-run single scoring
Sydney Steiner and
Abby Jones to give Arcadia a 3-1 lead.
-Klose launched a two-run homer in the fifth scoring
Grace Caldwell to give extend the lead to 5-1.
-Caldwell pushed the advantage to 7-1 in the top of the sixth with a two-run double bringing in Costigan and
Allie LaRochelle.
-The Fords pushed across a run in the bottom of the sixth to cut the lead to 7-2.
-Jones brought home
Nathalia DiIanni with a single in the seventh before Costigan finished the scoring with a single plating Steiner.
-
Mac Champion earned the win, allowing two runs on seven hits in a complete game with four strikeouts and three walks.
