AMBER - Five runs in the second, three in the fourth, five in the seventh, and six in the eighth, plus an outstanding performance from
Xavier Sjostedt led the Arcadia University baseball team to a 20-6 series-opening victory over FDU-Florham in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) play from Skip Wilson Field on Friday afternoon.
Anthony Bruno tied the single-game program record for RBI's, bringing home seven runs and falling a triple short of the cycle, tying Connor Cheeseman '22.
FOR THE RECORD
-Arcadia improved to 10-7 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
-FDU-Florham fell to 7-10 and 2-2, respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Tommy Ajjan got the Knights on the board in the bottom of the second with a single scoring
Justin Massielo.
-Bruno put Arcadia up 5-0 a couple batter later when he launched a grand slam to left bringing in
Emilio Pallante, Ajjan, and
Eli Savitt.
-Sot brought home Bruno in the fourth followed by a two-run single from Massielo, increasing the lead to 9-0.
-FDU-Florham scored twice in the top of the seventh.
-Bruno hit a three-run double in the seventh, followed by RBI trips to the plate by Sot and Massielo increaing the lead to 14-2.
-After Arcadia made the score 20-2, the Devils crossed the plate four times in the ninth.

Xavier Sjostedt earned his first collegiate win, allowing two runs on eight hits with three walks and four strikeouts across 6.1 innings.
