Men's Lacrosse Tops Misericordia to Push Win Streak to Five

DALLAS, Pa. – The Arcadia University extended its win streak to five games as it topped Misericordia, 13-8, on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Knights improved to 8-5 on the year and 3-0 in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) play.
 
Tristan Johnson matched his career high with five goals in the Arcadia win. Billy Burton also had five points on three goals and two assists.
 
Arcadia controlled the faceoff circle winning 19-of-25 draws. Brett Sciascia was 11-for-14 and A.J. Dominguez was 8-of-11.
 
Joseph Tesler recorded his fourth win of the season in goal, as he made seven saves. Nathaniel Hudgins entered the game in the second half and made four saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Knights scored the first four goals of the game, led by two from Johnson. Misericordia added a score before the end of the frame to cut its deficit to three after 15 minutes of play.
  • Burton scored the opening goal of the second quarter to extend Arcadia's lead, but the Cougars scored the next three goals to get within a goal at 5-4. The Knights then scored four goals in less than a minute and a half to push their lead to 9-4. Misericordia scored the next two goals but Arcadia got the last of the quarter to lead 10-6 heading into halftime.
  • Arcadia outscored the Cougars, 3-0, in the third quarter to lead 13-6 heading into the final frame.
  • Misericordia scored two goals in the fourth quarter to close out the scoring.
