Men's Lacrosse Wins Fifth Consecutive Battle of Bucks-Mont Hammer

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – For the fifth consecutive season, the Arcadia University men's lacrosse team captured the Battle of the Bucks-Mont Hammer, downing Delaware Valley, 14-2, on Wednesday night in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) action.
 
The Knights pushed their win streak to six, improved their record to 9-5, and 4-0 in conference play. Arcadia is also 7-2 all-time in the Battle for the Bucks-Mont Hammer.
 
The Knights only allowed two goals in the contest, which is the fewest in a game since
Feb. 15, 2020, which was a 21-2 victory over Saint Vincent.
 
Billy Burton led all players with four points on two goals and two assists. Dylan Garber and Andrew Borum both chipped in with three points. Garber had a goal and two assists and Borym had two goals and an assist.
 
Nathaniel Hudgins picked up the win in net, making three saves, while not letting in a goal. Joseph Tesler entered the game in the second half and made four saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Knights scored the first 10 goals of the game. They scored five in the first quarter to open an early lead and added four more in the second frame to lead 9-0 after 30 minutes of action.
  • Arcadia scored the first goal of the second half before Delaware Valley got on the board with its first score of the game. The Knights scored the last two goals of the third frame to lead 12-1 heading into the final 15 minutes of the game.
  • Arcadia outscored the Aggies 2-1 in the final frame to close out its 14-2 win.
