Morris Ties Career High for Goals in Loss Against Misericordia

GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's lacrosse team fell to Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom opponent Misericordia University 13-10 on Wednesday evening.
 
The Knights move to 6-7 overall and 1-2 in conference.
 
Sarah Morris tied her career high for goals in a single game with six goals.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars struck first two minutes into the game, before Morganne Dee scored on a free position to tie the game at one goal apiece.

- Misericordia scored two unanswered goals to start the second quarter.

- Arcadia responded with three unanswered goals of their own from Juliane Calalo, Mackenzie Clark and Morris to take the lead 4-3.

- Rachel Shook of Misericordia tied the game at four to end the first 15 minutes of play.

- Misericordia outscored the Knights 5-1 in the second quarter making it 9-5 at halftime.

- Morris scored the only Arcadia goal of the third quarter, but the cougars extended their lead to 13-6 with four third quarter goals of their own.

- Emily Griffith made four saves in the fourth to shut out the Cougars.

- The Knights scored four unanswered goals in the final quarter to end with a score of 13-10.

- Emily Griffith moved to 6-7 overall with 12 saves on the day.
