BALTIMORE, Md. - Anthony Bruno's five RBI's and nine shutout innings from
Will Conroy and
Vinny Versaci helped the No. 20 Arcadia University baseball team open the 2024 NCAA Division III Baltimore Regional with a 7-0 win over Ramapo at Johns Hopkins on Friday afternoon.
FOR THE RECORD
-Arcadia improved to 32-12.
-Ramapo fell to 28-15.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Bruno opened the scoring in the bottom of the third with a two-run single scoring
Gabe Diaz and
Matt Donchez.
-
Justin Massielo increased the lead to 3-0 in the same innings when he walked with bases loaded to bring home
Kevin Wheeler.
-Bruno broke the game open in the bottom of the fourth with a three-run homer to left bringing in Diaz and Donchez.
-
Tommy Ajjan finished the scoring in the bottom of the seventh with a lead off solo home run.
-Conroy went 6.2 innings for the third time out in a row, allowing no runs on four hits with five strikeouts.
-Versaci finished the final 2.1 innings, surrendering one hit.
