COLMAR, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's ice hockey team defeated Misericordia, 4-1 on Friday evening in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) play inside Hatfield Ice Arena.

-Arcadia improve to 1-0-0, 1-0-0 (MAC).
-Misericordia fell to 0-3-0, 0-1-0 (MAC).

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Arcadia generated multiple shots, but Misericordia stayed strong.
- The Cougars pushed back with looks of their own, but Ryan Burgess held strong in net for the Knights.
- Late in the period, Arcadia took a penalty, which led to a Misericordia goal.
- Arcadia's Ryan Cunningham tied the game for the Knights, four minutes into the second period.
- Misericordia killed off the early Knights power play, to start the third period.
- Zach Biniaris scored his first collegiate goal, seven minutes into the third period to give Arcadia a 2-1 lead.
- Less than two minutes later, Michael Benkovitz scored his first collegiate goal and extended the Knight's lead.
- Jared Shuter notched a goal of his own.
