Men's Volleyball Splits in Tri-Match

COLMAR, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's volleyball team split in its tri-match against Hunter College 3-0 (25-17 , 25-16 , 27-25) and #6 Vassar College 0-3 (18-25, 25-27, 22-25)

FOR THE RECORD

-The Knights fell to 4-5.

-Hunter moved to 1-3.

-Vassar improved to 8-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED

SET ONE: ARCADIA 25, HUNTER 17

-The Knights started strong jumping out to a 10-3 lead.

-Arcadia maintained its lead and took set one.

SET TWO: ARCADIA 25, HUNTER 16

-The Knights went on a 5-0 run to start the set.

-Arcadia went on a 7-2 run to extend its lead by nine.

-Hunter went on a run scoring six straight to cut into their deficit.

-The Knights secured the last point to secure set two.

SET THREE: ARCADIA 27, HUNTER 25

-Arcadia took the lead early into this set.

-The Hawks scored five straight to take its lead at 22.

-The Knights outscored its opponent 7-3 to collect the sweep.

-Vassar regained its lead and took set two.

-Arcadia took the lead to open the set.

-The middle of the frame was highly contested by both teams.

-Vassar scored five straight to take the match.
