UNION, N.J. - Jake Hendershot clubbed a three-run homer in his debut to close the gap but the Arcadia University baseball team fell 4-3 in its season-opener at Kean on Friday afternoon.

-Arcadia fell to 0-1 with the defeat.
-Kean improved to 1-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Kean opened the scoring with two runs in the bottom of the second and two more in the bottom of the fourth.
-Hendershot launched a three-run homer in the top of the fifth to bring the Knights within one run.
-Arcadia was unable to push the tying run across.
-
Will Conroy fell to 0-1, allowing four runs on five hits across 3.2 innings with two walks and two strikeouts.
