Men's Lacrosse Opens Season with Big Win Over Albright

GLENSIDE – The Arcadia University men's lacrosse team opened its season with a 20-5 win over non-conference opponent Albright College at Jean Lenox West Field on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Knights had nine individual goal scorers on their 20 goal game.

- Arcadia improved to 1-0. 

- Albright fell to 0-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kyle McLaughlin scored the first goal of the game just 2:14 into the first quarter. 

- Just three minutes later, McLaughlin found the back of the net again off and assist from Nick Mormando to give the Knights a 2-0 lead. 

- Albright then put their first goal on the board with 9:30 left in the first quarter. 

- Both teams notched another goal in the first to end the quarter with a score of 3-2, Arcadia. 

- Scoring was tied 2-2 in the second quarter with Arcadia goals by Anthony Mangini and Dylan Garber, keeping the Knights ahead one at the end of the first half (5-4). 

- Arcadia's defense held the Lions to just one goal in the third quarter while the offense put up six more goals from Andrew Borum, Mangini, Tristan Johnson (2), Reilly Robichaud, and Mason Barndt

- The Knights then put up nine unanswered goals by Garber, Johnson (3), Alex Adamczyk (2), McLaughlin, Barndt, and Sean Perkinson, to shut Albright out in the final 15 minutes of play. 

- A.J. Dominguez won 14 of the 18 face offs he took and Colin Brockman went 5-9. 

- Joseph Tesler played the first half of the game and secured his first win of the season with eight saves. 

- Nathaniel Hudgins held it down in goal in the second half with four saves.
