AMBLER - The Arcadia University baseball team defeated Delaware Valley by finals of 9-3 and 9-1 to sweep its Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) doubleheader against Delaware Valley on senior day from Skip Wilson Field on Sunday.
FOR THE RECORD
-The Knights improved to 20-9 overall and 10-4 in conference.
- Delaware Valley fell to 3-25 and 1-13.
HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE: ARCADIA 9, DELAWARE VALLEY 3
-Delaware Valley opened the scoring with a run in the top of the first.
-Arcadia tacked on four runs in the bottom of the second with RBI's from
Max Oswald,
Eric Shandler, and
Kevin Wheeler.
-Oswald added a run in the third with a single scoring
Cam Seymour.
-DelVal crossed the plate twice in the top of the fourth to cut the lead to 5-3.
-
Anthony Bruno,
Griffin Murphy, and Shandler each drove in a run in the fifth to expand the lead to 8-3.
-
Joshua Agriesti finished the scoring in the sixth with a double that brought in
Kevin Wheeler.

Cam Nebel earned the win in relief, allowing two runs on four hits with one strikeout in three innings.

-Delaware Valley opened the scoring in the top of the first.

Derek Rivera got the Knights on the board in the bottom of the second with a two-run single plating Shandler and Seymour.
-Seymour increased the lead to 3-1 in the third with a sacrifice fly scoring Agriesti.
-Arcadia finished the scoring with five runs in the fourth and one in the sixth.
-
Vinny Versaci moved to 3-0 on the season with two scoreless innings of relief with three strikeouts.
