Men's Lacrosse Clinches Playoff Spot with Win Over King's

GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's lacrosse team defeated Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) opponent King's College 17-6 on Wednesday night to clinch a spot in the MAC Freedom playoffs.
 
Kyle McLaughlin broke the records for points in a single season with 81. The previous record was set at 76.

- Arcadia improved to 11-5, 5-1 (MAC). 

- King's fell to 1-13, 0-6 (MAC).

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Nick Mormando scored the first goal of the game just 1:31 into the first quarter. 

- Just 37 seconds later, Anthony Mangini found the back of the net to give the Knights a 2-0 lead. 

- The Monarchs cut the Knights lead in half a minute later. 

- Mangini and Mormando both notched another goal to close out the first quarter. 

- Sean Perkinson opened the scoring in the second quarter just before King's tallied a goal.

- Dalton Moyer, Reilly Robichaud, and Kyle McLaughlin were all new scorers for the Knights before halftime. 

- Arcadia outscored the Monarchs 5-3 in the third quarter with goals coming from Gavin Lenart, Andrew Borum, Mangini, Mormando, and Perkinson.

- King's scored the first goal of the final quarter.

- William Burke, Borum, Mangini, and Mormando capped off the scoring for the Knights.

A.J. Dominguez went 11-14 in face-offs, Colin Brockman went 8-10, and Darian Good went 2-2. 

- Nathaniel Hudgins improved to 8-3 with 13 saves on the day. 

- Charlie Serafin played in the fourth quarter collecting one save.
