GLENSIDE - Arcadia University's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) had a very eventful spring, continuing past events and adding some new ones.
Â
The committee's last initiative in December brought some change. Representatives were tasked with collecting toys from their teams to be donated to Toys for Tots. SAAC had a table at Arcadia's crowd-favorite "Get Lit!" event and even had a surprise visit from Santa Claus. There was a great turnout, and kids from all over the Philadelphia area received gifts from Arcadia's athletes.

Â
In the Spring, SAAC's main initiative was the series of athletic training games hosted throughout March. Each of Arcadia's six athletic trainers were highlighted at their respective sporting event and received a gift from their team. Additionally, athletic trainer spotlights were posted to the SAAC Instagram featuring quotes from their athletes to personalize this month and highlight them further.
Â
Â
On April 6th, SAAC hosted its annual Special Olympics Sports Fest with the athletes from Bryn Athyn. SAAC representatives and other student-athletes volunteered to help the event run smoothly.

Â
SAAC participated in the NCAA's DIII Week from April 7-13th, highlighting academic experiences, campus involvement, and why athletes chose DIII. The committee wrote "thank you" cards, which were distributed to each professor. In partnership with the Student Government Organization (SGO), the committee hosted a campus clean-up to help facilities. To close out the week, the committee and other student-athletes were invited to "Chalk the Walk" outside the Kuch Center to share why they chose DIII and what they enjoy about being a DIII student-athlete. We're excited to continue this great work heading into the upcoming academic year and can't wait to see what's in store.

Â
In addition to this work, SAAC also elected its Executive Board representatives for the 2025-26 academic year. These student-athletes were nominated by their peers and subsequently elected by SAAC to help guide the organization and represent the interests of the committee and Arcadia's student-athletes as a whole. The new executive board is as follows:Â
Â
President - Hannah Fryer, Women's Volleyball
Vice President - Owen Foley, Men's Swimming
Secretary - Delaney Bell, Women's Basketball
Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Leadership - Matt Schutz, Men's Track & Field
Social Media - Hannah Sanchez, Women's Volleyball
