DALLAS, Tx. - The Arcadia University's women's volleyball team fell to Concordia University (Texas) 1-3 (11-25, 25-20, 18-25, 15-25) and Austin College 0-3 (15-25, 14-25,17-25) in its season opener.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1: ARCADIA 11, CONCORDIA (TX) 25
- The Knights fell behind early in this set.
- Arcadia picked up quick points with kills coming from Alliy Kulas, Nina Corazo, and Anna Keer.
- Concordia remained in control and took set one.
Set 2: ARCADIA 25, CONCORDIA (TX) 20
- A kill from Chana Rothschild and two back to back service aces from Bryana Saenz gave the Knight's an 8-4 lead.
- The Tornados cut their gap to 17-11 in the middle of the frame.
- Arcadia's quick response from Maddie Gavin-Ruple, Kulas, and Julia Archelle secured the second set for the Knights.
Set 3: ARCADIA 18, CONCORDIA (TX) 25
- Concordia took the lead to start the set, but the Knights countered with kills from Saenz and Rothschild to take the 4-3 lead.
- Arcadia went on a 4-0 run to tie the set at 13, forcing the Tornados to call a timeout.
- Concordia halted the Knights comeback and took a 2-1 match lead.
Set 4: ARCADIA 15, CONCORDIA (TX) 25
- Kills from Kelsi Warner and Gavin Ruple cut in Arcadia's deficit to only be trailing by two.
- The Tornados maintained its lead and closed out the match.

- Austin pulled away with the lead.
- Kills by Kulas and Baker trimmed the gap to make it 19-15.
- The Kangaroos took its momentum out of the timeout and closed set one.
Set 2: ARCADIA 14, AUSTIN COLLEGE 25
- Austin took immediate control to start set two.
- The Knights answered with a short rally from Kulas, Baker, and Rothschild to cut the deficit to 14-10.
- The Kangaroos regained control and collected set two.
Set 3: ARCADIA 17, AUSTIN COLLEGE 25
- Quick points from Baker and Kulas gave Arcadia a 3-1 lead.
- Devon Young, Julianna Lloyd, and Rothschild were delivering timely kills for the Knights.
- Austin sealed the match with a kill.
