GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's volleyball team earned its first Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) victory of the season with a 3-0 sweep of FDU-Florham inside Alumni Gymnasium on Tuesday evening. The Knights (10-6, 1-1 MACF) defeated the Devils (7-6, 0-2 MACF) by set scores of 25-15, 25-18, and 28-26.
The night was also highlighted by senior setter Kelsi Warner, who recorded her 1,000th career assist during the match.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Set One: Arcadia 25, FDU-Florham 15

After falling behind early, 2-1, the Knights responded with four straight kills from Chana Rothschild, Ally Kulas, Devon Young, and Kylie Strange to take a 5-2 lead.

The Devils closed within two at 9-7, but that was as close as they would get.

A 7-0 Arcadia run, featuring kills from Warner and three from Kulas, combined with FDU miscues, broke the set open.

Bryana Saenz capped the frame with the final kill for a 25-15 Knights win.
Set Two: Arcadia 25, FDU-Florham 18

FDU once again jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but kills from Kulas, Rothschild, and two from Nina Corazo helped Arcadia surge ahead 6-2.

The Devils closed within one, but the Knights never trailed again.

Kulas added three more kills during a stretch where Arcadia scored five of six points to extend the lead.

A kill from Strange, paired with two Devil attack errors, pushed the Knights within five of clinching the set.

Rothschild finished it off with the decisive kill, giving Arcadia a 25-18 win and a two-set advantage.
Set Three: Arcadia 28, FDU-Florham 26

The final set proved the tightest of the night, as FDU took an early lead before Rothschild's two kills and a Devil error gave Arcadia a 3-1 edge.

The teams traded points until kills from Young (2) and Corazo put the Knights ahead 13-10.

FDU battled back, tying the score at 21, 22, 23, and 24 before taking a 25-24 lead.

After the Devils went ahead 26-25, Arcadia closed it out with an FDU attack error, a Saenz kill, and a Warner service ace to secure the 28-26 win and complete the sweep.
