READING, Pa. - Kianna Saillant's hat-trick led five goal scorers as the Arcadia University women's ice hockey team defeated Alvernia 7-1 in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) play on Friday evening.
FOR THE RECORD
-Arcadia improved to 13-3-1 in conference play and 15-4-2 overall.
-Alvernia fell to 9-8-0 and 10-9-0, respectively.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Knights jumped out to a 2-0 lead early in the first with goals from
Megan Sladish and
Rylie Duffy.
-Alvernia got on the board at 8:58 of the first to cut the lead to 2-1.
-Saillant notched her first goal at 16:34 of the second with an assist from
Leah Hatcher to move the lead to 3-1.
-Saillant scored the first two goals of the third followed by tallies from
Reese Plotnikoff and
Charlotte Siksik to finish the scoring.
-Gabby Meager was phenomenal, stopping 27 shots for Arcadia.
