AMBLER - Four home runs in the first inning set the tone as the Arcadia University baseball team opened Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) play with a 19-2 win over FDU-Florham at Skip Wilson Field on Friday afternoon.

-Arcadia moved to 1-0 in conference play and 3-5 overall.
-FDU-Florham fell to 8-5 and 0-1, respectively.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-FDU-Florham opened the scoring with a run in the top of the first.
-After
Kevin Wheeler and
Ryan Radigan got on base to open the bottom of the first,
Max Oswald launched a three-run homer to left to put the Knights in front.
-
Joshua Agriesti followed one batter later with a home run to center.
-After a strikeout,
Thomas Strauch and
Peter Trendafilov smashed back-to-back homers to finish the first-inning scoring.
-Agriesti came through once again in the bottom of the second with a run-scoring single to center bringing home Radigan.
-FDU-Florham pushed across its second run in the top of the fourth.
-
Solomon Abdullah laced a two-run triple down the right field line in the bottom of the fourth scoring Oswald and Agriesti, followed by a Strauch sacrifice fly to make the lead 10-2.
-Wheeler got in on the homer party in the bottom of the fifth when he crushed an 0-1 pitch to left bringing home
Taro Pustilnik.
-Arcadia scored four more runs in the seventh and one in the eighth to finish the scoring.
-
Hunter Dicarlantonio earned his first collegiate win tossing three scoreless innings of relief with three hits allowed and six strikeouts while allowing zero walks.
