LITTLE RIVER, S.C. - The Arcadia University softball team continued its spring break offensive outburst on Sunday afternoon, defeating Cedar Crest 8-1 before topping Castleton State 8-0 in five innings.

-The Knights improved to 4-2 with the sweep.

HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE: ARCADIA 8, CEDAR CREST 1
-Alexa Kozarski opened the scoring for Arcadia in the top of the first when she brought home Sadie Drozdowski and Sofia Forbito with a single to right, and later in the inning scored on a wild pitch.

-Cedar Crest got on the board with a run in the bottom of the third.

-Drozdowski, Forbito, Dakota Fanelli, and Kozarski all drove in runs in the seventh as the Knights pulled away.

-Lizie Lopez earned the win, allowing one run on four hits with zero walks and four strikeouts in a complete-game effort.

GAME TWO: ARCADIA 8, CASTLETON 0 (F/5)
-Samantha Edwards opened the scoring in the eight-run first with a single to center that plated Diaz-Rivera.

-Caity Hinton followed with a single to right that brought home Kiersten Murray.

-Kyleigh Mihalik brought home Isabel Vitense with a single to right center.

-Mac Champion plated Edwards and Hinton with a single to left-center.

-Drozdowski scored Mihalik with a bunt single.

-Diaz-Rivera finished the scoring when she doubled to left-center, bringing in Champion and Drozdowski.

-Champion notched the win in the circle, tossing four shutout innings allowing five hits, two walks, and two strikeouts.
