Baseball Opens Lebanon Valley Series with Rain-Shortened Win

ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Arcadia University baseball team opened its Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) series with Lebanon Valley with a 6-5 rain-shortened six inning victory on Friday afternoon.

FOR THE RECORD
-Arcadia improved to 7-6 overall and 3-1 in conference play.

-Lebanon Valley moved to 6-7 and 3-1, respectively.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Thomas Strauch opened the scoring in the top of the second with a two-run homer scoring Solomon Abdullah.

-LVC tied the score with a run in the second and another in the fourth.

-Taro Pustilnik gave the Knights the lead back in the top of the fourth with a single to left-center that brough Simon Abdullah home.

-Arcadia added three more runs in the top of the fifth on a Ryan Radigan solo home run, a Thomas Strauch sacrifice fly plating Max Oswald, and a single from Jake Keirstad scoring Joshua Agriesti.

-LVC cut the lead to 6-5 in the sixth before the game was called due to rain.

-L.J. Wolff earned his first win of the season, allowing four runs on five hits across 5.1 innings with three walks and eight strikeouts.
