READING, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's lacrosse team cruised to a 17–7 victory over Albright on the road Wednesday evening. The Knights improved to 9-0 behind a dominant offensive effort, highlighted by six goals from Jaylee Killgore, four goals each from Mackenzie Clark and Jordyn Chan, and additional scores from Claudia Grello, Avery Ditze, and Alejandra Roemer.
Arcadia controlled the game statistically, outshooting Albright 38–16 and holding a 26–11 advantage in shots on goal. The Knights also led in ground balls (21–15) and committed fewer turnovers (16–24). Arcadia went 17-for-19 on clear attempts while limiting Albright to 14-for-23. Each team secured 13 draw controls. The Knights converted 2-of-3 free-position attempts, while the Lions went 1-for-1.
Killgore led all players with six ground balls, while Clark recorded a game-high three caused turnovers and paced Arcadia with four draw controls.
Taylor Funcheon earned the start in goal, making five saves while allowing seven goals to secure her ninth win of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Albright won the opening draw control and scored on its first possession to take a 1–0 lead.
• After drawing a penalty, Mackenzie Clark scored on a man-up opportunity to tie the game at 1–1.
• Albright regained the lead on a free-position goal, but Clark answered with her second goal—also on a free-position attempt—to even the score at 2–2 with three minutes remaining in the first quarter.
• Albright scored on its final possession of the quarter to take a 3–2 lead into the second.
• In the second quarter, the Knights struck on back-to-back possessions. After Olivia Forant caused a turnover, Jordyn Chan scored off an assist from Clark to tie the game at 3–3. Jaylee Killgore then gave Arcadia its first lead with just over 10 minutes to play.
• Albright responded to tie the game at 4–4, but Arcadia closed the half on a 3–0 run to take a 7–4 lead. Chan scored a man-up goal off an assist from Ella Longacre to make it 5–4. Despite a penalty, Killgore added a man-down goal off another assist from Longacre, then completed the stretch with a man-up goal off an assist from Meghan Graham.
• Arcadia pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring Albright 7–1. Killgore opened the half with a goal on the Knights' first possession.
• Avery Ditze extended the lead to 10–4 off an assist from Killgore. With just over four minutes remaining in the quarter, Arcadia scored on four consecutive possessions: Chan made it 11–4, Alejandra Roemer followed off an assist from Longacre, Clark scored off another Longacre assist to make it 13–4, and Killgore capped the run at 14–4 with an assist from Graham.
• Albright ended the run with a late third-quarter goal.
• Claudia Grello opened the fourth quarter with a free-position goal to make it 15–5. Albright answered off a Knights turnover on the ensuing possession.
• With more than 10 minutes remaining, Killgore netted her sixth goal of the game. Albright responded shortly after to make it 16–7.
• Clark added her fourth goal following an Albright turnover, sealing the 17–7 victory and preserving Arcadia's unbeaten record.
