WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - Max Oswald finished off a historic weekend with the first three home run game in program history as the Arcadia University baseball team swept its Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) doubleheader at King's on Saturday, taking game one 9-0 before winning game two 13-2 in eight innings. Oswald's five runs scored in game two tied the program record as well.
FOR THE RECORD
-The Knights improved to 14-6 overall and 8-1 in conference play.
-King's fell to 3-14 and 0-9, respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE: ARCADIA 9, KING'S 0

Taro Pustilnik opened the scoring in the top of the fifth with a sacrifice fly scoring
Peter Trendafilov.
-The Knights opened a five run lead with four runs in the sixth on a
Will Childs double scoring Oswald and a three-run double from
Noah Stennett that brought home Childs,
Solomon Abdullah, and
Derek Rivera.
-Oswald launched his first home run of the day in the top of the seventh scoring
Kevin Wheeler and
Ryan Radigan.
-Stennett finished the scoring later in the inning with a single to left scoring Abdullah.
-
Will Buchan continued to shine on the mound, tossing a complete game shutout with one walk and four strikeouts.

-Oswald got the scoring started with solo homer in the top of the first.
-Oswald struck again in the top of the third for a two-run home run that brought in
Ryan Radigan.
-So. Abdullah increased the lead to 4-0 in the top of the fourth on the back end of a double steal.
-So. Abdullah moved the count to 6-0 in the top of the fifth with a two-run single scoring Wheeler and Radigan, followed later in the inning by a sacrifice fly from
Jake Keirstead the brought home Oswald.
-After King's cut the lead to 7-1, Oswald, So. Abdullah, and Stennet all brought runs home in the seventh to increase the lead to 10-1.
-Oswald continued his historic offensive weekend with a two-run home run in the eight scoring Radigan followed by an RBI double from So. Abdullah to finish the scoring.

Christian Clauss earned his first win of the season, allowing one run on one hit in five innings with seven walks and four strikeouts.
