FLEMINGTON, N.J. - The Arcadia University baseball team dropped both ends of its doubleheader with Ithaca at Diamond Nation on Saturday, dropping game one 9-6 and game two 16-7.
FOR THE RECORD
-Arcadia fell to 1-5 with the losses.
-Ithaca improved to 3-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE: ARCADIA 6, ITHACA 9
-Ithaca jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first.
-Arcadia tied the score in the bottom of the fourth on a double down the right field line from
Eric Shandler that scored
Chris Quick, a bases-loaded walk from
Ryan Radigan, and a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch from
Max Oswald.
-The Knights jumped ahead 5-3 in the bottom of the sixth on run-scoring singles from Oswald and
Joshua Agriesti.
-The Bombers retied the score in the top of the seventh with a two-run homer.
-Pustilnik put Arcadia back in front in the bottom of the seventh with an rbi single that brought around Shandler.
-Ithaca retook the advantage for good in the top of the eighth.
-
Christian Clauss fell to 0-1 on the season, allowing four runs on four hits with one walk and four strikeouts in 1.2 innings.

GAME TWO: ARCADIA 7, ITHACA 16
-Ithaca opened the scoring in the top of the second with a two-run home run.
-The Knights tied the score in the bottom of the second on
Thomas Strauch single that brought home
Will Buchan and
Hunter Dicarlantonio.
-After the Bombers retook the lead in the top of the third, Radigan led off the bottom of the frame with a solo homer to left.
-Ithaca crossed the plate four times in the top of fourth to take the lead once again.
-
Kevin Wheeler cut the deficit to 7-5 in the bottom of the fourth with a two-run triple down the right field line that plated Buchan and Strauch.
-The Bombers pushed across nine more runs before
Braeden Black singled to right in the bottom of the ninth scoring
Noah Stennett and
Will Childs.

LJ Wolff fell to 0-1, allowing seven runs on seven hits with three walks and nine strikeouts in 4.0 innings.
