HOBOKEN, N.J. - The Arcadia University baseball team took advantage of two errors to score four unearned runs as it defeated Stevens 7-4 in the opener of its Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) series on Friday afternoon.
FOR THE RECORD
-Arcadia improved to 17-9 overall and 9-4 in conference.
-Stevens fell to 16-13 and 6-7, respectively.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Kevin Wheeler got the Knights on the board in the top of the first when he scored on a passed ball.Â

Solomon Abdullah added a second run later in the inning when he brought home
Taro Pustilnik on a squeeze play.
-Stevens cut the lead to 2-1 in the bottom of the first.
-Wheeler increased the lead to 4-1 in the top of the second with a two-run single to center that brought home
Will Buchan and
Ryan Radigan.
-The Ducks scored once in the bottom of the third and once in teh bottom of the fifth to make the score 4-3.

Max Oswald launched a two-run homer in the top of the sixth that scored
Eric Shandler to increase the lead back to three at 6-3.
-Wheeler made the score 7-3 in the top of the seventh when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, bringing in
Noah Stennett.
-
LJ Wolff earned his second win, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits in six innings with one walk and two strikeouts.
-Gavin Kince earned his third save, pitching the final three innings allowing one run on four hits with three strikeouts and zero walks.
