GRANTHAM, Pa. - Entering the bottom of the ninth with a three-run lead four runs including a walk-off three-run home run downed the Arcadia University baseball team 8-7 at Messiah in non-conference play on Tuesday afternoon.
FOR THE RECORD
-Arcadia fell to 22-12.
-Messiah improved to 25-10.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Messiah opened the scoring with a run in the bottom of the first.Â
-
Eric Shandler tied the score in the top of the second when he singled to left bringing home
Will Childs.
-The Knights took the lead with two runs in the top of the fourth including an RBI single from
Solomon Abdullah scoring Hunter Dicarlatonio.
-After Messiah cut the lead to 3-2, Shandler and
Kevin Wheeler brought home runs in the bottom of the fifth to increase the lead to 5-2.
-Wheeler came through again in the to of the seventh when he plated
Taro Pustilnik.
-The Falcons scored single runs in the bottom of the seventh and eighth to make the score 6-4.
-Dicarlatonio brought in
Ryan Radigan with a single to left in the to of the ninth to finish the scoring for the Knights.
-Messiah crossed the plate four times in the bottom of the ninth.
