AMBLER - Four unanswered runs to end the game was the difference as the Arcadia University baseball team fell to Misericordia 9-7 in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) play from Skip Wilson Field on Friday afternoon.
FOR THE RECORD
-Arcadia fell to 22-13 overall and 13-6 in conference play.
-Misericordia improved to 26-12 and 14-5, respectively.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-After
Kevin Wheeler led off the bottom of the first with a triple down the right field line,
Solomon Abdullah brought him home with a single to center.
-
Simon Abdullah followed later in the inning with a two-run single to center scoring So. Abdullah and
Noah Stennett.
-Misericordia tied the game at three with one run in the top of the third and two runs in the top of the fourth.
-Wheeler gave the Knights the lead back in the bottom of the fourth on a single to center aided by an error that brought home
Eric Shandler and
Hunter Dicarlantonio.
-The Cougars tied the score with two runs in the top of the fifth.
-Si. Abdullah and
Taro Pustilnik singled in the bottom of the fifth to give Arcadia a 7-5 lead.Â
-Misericordia scored once in the sixth, twice in the eighth, and once in the ninth.
-Arcadia's best chance came in the bottom of the eighth when after two outs to start the inning, two singles and a walk loaded the bases before a fielder's choice ended the inning.
